From the screenwriter of "The Devil Wears Prada," "27 Dresses" centres on Jane (Heigl), an idealistic, romantic and completely selfless woman…a perennial bridal attendant whose own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane‘s boss – with whom she is secretly in love – Jane begins to re–examine her "always–a–bridesmaid…" lifestyle. Jane has always spent her free time preparing for other people‘s weddings. She‘s so focused on this task that she has been a bridesmaid 27 times and has the dresses to prove it. The only other thing she makes time for is work, a place where she is happy to put in extra hours to impress her boss. Then comes the day that she has to be a bridesmaid for two weddings at once, an impressive effort that brings her to the attention of someone who would rather see her as a bride than a bridesmaid.
