Romantic comedy "Coyote Ugly" is the story of velvet–voiced, 21–year–old Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo), who goes to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a songwriter. However she soon discovers that life in the big city isn‘t all its cracked up to be: no one will listed to her demo tape, and after her appartment is burgled she is left with nothing.

By chance she ends up at Coyote Ugly, the hottest nightspot in New York, where she takes a job as barmaid and joins a team of sexy enterprising young women who happily use their feminine wiles to keep their boystrous customers entertained.

As her confidence grows thanks to her new friends she begins to understand exactly how to survive and thrive in the city.
