Directed by Kunal Kohli this is a film about love and friendship. Raj (Hrithik Roshan), Tina (Kareena Kapoor) and Pooja (Rani Mukherji) are three childhood friends: who separate when Raj leaves to study. While Tina acquires many male friends, Pooja keeps in touch with Raj via email (however the emails are sent under Tina‘s name). Of course, Raj is infatuated with Tina, and to maintain his happiness, Pooja pretends to be Tina in the emails for a period of fifteen years.
When Raj returns home, Pooja explains her email secret, and persuades Tina to claim authorship of the emails. In turn, Tina falls in love with Raj. However, the truth must be ultimately revealed – first to Raj and then to everyone else. It is the revealing of this truth that leads to the true understanding of friendship, love and the sacrifices required to obtain them.
